Halo 5 keeps Microsoft marching on despite Xbox problems
MICROSOFT has Halo 5 to thank after reporting an increase in gaming revenue for the last quarter.
Halo 5 is arguably the Xbox One's biggest title
The ever-popular FPS, alongside fellow big-hitter Minecraft, has been behind a strong growth in game sales up to the period ending December 31 – although Microsoft have not revealed any actual numbers for either title.
Overall, gaming revenue is up by 5 percent compared to the final quarter of 2014, a rise of $192million.

Minecraft has enjoyed much success in 2015
Games sales have soared by 47 percent, while Xbox Live revenue is up by 24 percent.
However, overall Xbox hardware revenue is down by 9 percent, which Microsoft has attributed to the Xbox 360's declining popularity.
Xbox One sales are up but revenue is down
Meanwhile, the Xbox One has shipped more consoles than the previous year but still saw revenue drop due to its new lower price.
The news comes on the back of reports which claim that just 99 Xbox Ones were purchased in Japan last week, where sales have been consistently falling for some time.
