Star Wars Battlefront was released last month
The news was confirmed in a tweet by Development Director Dan Vaderlind, who added that the space-shooter will continue to have a team working on future improvements.
The Battlefield faithful are sure to breathe a huge sigh of relief following the revelation, with EA only providing bits and piece of information throughout 2015.

DICE are now working on Battlefield 5
The long-running series is expected to return to its military origins, and could be released in time for Christmas 2016.
Vaderlind tweeted: “Now that we’ve shipped Battlefront and apart of the team continues to work on it, I am moving on to another project, the next Battlefield…”
Battlefront has been criticised for its lack of a single-player campaign
Battlefield 5 could be released by Christmas next year
Battlefront was released last month across all platforms and has gone on to become one of the year’s biggest games.
However, a lack of campaign mode and limited multiplayer maps has seen a backlash from the gaming community, and a new Battlefield could be just the thing to help DICE win back the public’s favour.
