Star Wars Battlefront: EA open to single-player campaign
EA have hinted that future Star Wars games could feature a single-player campaign following criticism of latest offering Battlefront.
Star Wars Battlefront was released by EA last month
Despite receiving good reviews across the board, the space shooter has come under fire for not including a story mode alongside its epic multiplayer modes.
Many gamers are not satisfied with the small selection of maps available, with a season pass – costing almost as much as the title itself – required to unlock more content.

EA have also been forced to defend Battlefront sales following criticism from the games industry, with some claiming that it has failed to meet certain demands in the market.
And COO Peter Moore has now conceded that EA are more than prepared to include one in the next instalment if required, although multiplayer will still be the company's primary focus.

He explained: “Let’s be clear though. There are a lot of single player opportunities within the game. It’s lacking a campaign mode in the eyes of gamers, but it’s got co-op, couch play… it’s not a purely multiplayer game. There is much more content coming to this game.
“The decision by the DICE team was made not to put single-player in, but to focus on multiplayer. This isn’t to say that decision for future games are locked in stone, we’ll determine what that team does as the development team gets further down the process.”
