Fortnite season 6 teaser: What do the season 6 teasers mean? SHOCK rumours and theories
FORTNITE season 6 teasers have been revealed - but what do they all mean? Here are the shock Battle Royale rumours and theories about the next Battle Pass.
Fortnite: ‘Kevin’ the cube dissolves into Loot Lake
Fortnite season 6 teasers have been revealed by Epic Games ahead of the release date and start time for the next Battle Pass.
Fortnite season 6 teasers have been revealed but there is still plenty of mystery surrounding what the next Battle Pass holds.
Both Fortnite season 6 teasers appear to show new skins coming to Battle Royale.
The first Fortnite season 6 teaser showed a DJ llama while the second showed a bandito cowgirl.
But apart from being new cosmetics for season 6, do these hint at what the next Fortnite Battle Pass theme could be?
By drilling a bit deeper we may be able to uncover what Epic Games are hinting at with the Fortnite season 6 teasers.
At face value both Fortnite season 6 teasers have something in common - they have plenty of Fortnite cube imagery.
Both Fortnite season 6 teasers show the new skins overlaid on top of the Fortnite cube in the background.
While the lightning that caused the Fortnite cube to spawn and mini versions of the runes the cube burnt into the ground can also be seen on the teasers.
So, the Fortnite season 6 teasers are heavily hinting that the Fortnite cube will play a part in the events that kick off the new Battle Pass.
This much was rumoured after the Fortnite cube seemed to reach its big finale last Wednesday.
It had long been rumoured that the Fortnite cube, which had been moving around the Battle Royale map for over three weeks, would end up in Loot Lake.
It was also rumoured that the Fortnite cube would cause a volcano and rivers of lava to spawn once it activated and turned on.
These rumours were partially true, with the Fortnite cube in the end finishing its epic journey in Loot Lake.
But, instead of spawning a volcano, it melted into Loot Lake and created a huge, purple bouncy area.
However, Fortnite fans were convinced that this may not be the end of the Fortnite cube event - with Epic Games having one more surprise up its sleeve.
Tweeter @siloxleaks had been following the cube ever since it emerged on the Fortnite Battle Royale map.
And after the Fortnite cube melted into Loot Lake they tweeted: "I currently believe the cube is printing or something in loot lake, give it 24 hours.
"Remember there is ALWAYS something else!"
This was also hinted at on Twitter by Mark Rein, Vice President and Co-Founder of Epic Games.
When questioned if that was it for the Fortnite cube, he tweeted: "This is @FortniteGame - there’s ALWAYS something else :)".
This “something else” looks to be playing a role in what kicks off Fortnite season 6.
But what could this be? And what could the Fortnite season 6 teasers tell us?
Well, one popular theory that has surrounded the cube is that the mysterious purple object could open the door to an alternate reality.
It was also rumoured, prior to Fortnite season 5, that the theme for that Battle Pass would be time travel.
It had been thought that Fortnite season 5 would feature locations from different eras throughout history.
Rumoured locales included the Wild West, a castle and a POI based on Ancient Egypt.
Instead, the Fortnite season 5 theme was ‘worlds collide’ - with new time travel locations not featuring as heavily as expected.
The most prominent of which at the Fortnite season 5 launch was the Viking village.
Then, midway through Fortnite season 5, the Aztec-like Tomato Temple was added to the Fortnite Battle Royale map.
Maybe, just maybe, this is a sign that time travel is still a theme for Fortnite.
But what we’ve seen so far is just a taster, with it possibly making its biggest splash yet with Fortnite season 6.
And the Fortnite season 6 teasers released so far may be hinting at this.
The second Fortnite season 6 teaser looks to be hinting at cosmetics based on a bygone era - the Wild West.
And the first Fortnite season 6 teaser could be hinting at cosmetics based on a fictional and futuristic era.
Maybe we were all too busy marvelling at how funky that DJ llama looked to notice that it kind of resembles a robot?
That metallic neck, its cyborg like hands and futuristic sunglasses-like visor.
Maybe Epic Games are showing us two polar opposites of locations that could appear in Fortnite season 6 - the distant past and the future?
Could it be that the remains of the Fortnite cube in Loot Lake will crack open to reveal a gateway to this alternate dimension based on time travel?
And maybe its an entirely new map based on this theme.
Epic Games have in the past confirmed that they have new Fortnite maps in the works.
In a post online, answering the question ‘will you add more maps’, the Cary-based developer said: “Yes, but not right away.
“Currently, we’ll continue making improvements to our existing map, including adding more points of interest.”
Fortnite season 3 launched with an updated map for Fortnite Battle Royale at the start of the year.
Could we now see this new Fortnite map Epic Games alluded to in the above post with the launch of Fortnite season 6?
We will find out soon enough either way, with the Fortnite season 6 release date only days away.
