Avengers 4: Leaked pics prove Loki is DEAD? Bad news for Marvel fans
AVENGERS 4 leaked set photographs could finally confirm that Loki is dead. Is Tom Hiddleston back in the Infinity War sequel and what does that mean for the God of Mischief.
Is Loki gone for good or not?
Has the Trickster got one last trick up his sleeve? Many fans are convinced that the master of magic faked his death and the leaked set pictures from Avengers 4 seem to confirm that he will be back.
It's hard to tell whether fans love Hiddleston or his character more but either way they are desperate for some miraculous return.
Except... a closer look at the pictures could shatter all those hopes.
THE AVENGERS: Infinity War Digital and Blu-ray release dates
Avengers 4 leaked set photos, including the one below, match Loki' scenes from Avengers 1 and Thor Dark World.
They show HIddleston (and other shots with his body double) wearing the same costume and being lead away in chains by armed guards.
This is the moment after the end of the first Avengers film when Loki was taken back to Asgard to pay for his crimes. The scene lead directly into the opening of Thor: The Dark World.
So the good news is that Hiddleston fans will definitely see their hero once more but the bad news is that he is almost certainly still dead.
Tom Hiddleston was spotted as Loki on the #Avengers4 set and it looks like it's a flashback scene! https://t.co/0HRsty6Cbw

At the time Just Jared commented: "Tom Hiddleston was spotted as Loki on the Avengers 4 set and it looks like it's a flashback scene!"
This was before the full horror of Infinity War was revealed. Since then, numerous time travel theories have used the images as proof that the remaining Avengers will go back and rewrite time.
If none of the events of Avengers 3 happened in the new timeline, this means Loki would survive, after all.
But... The Avengers writers, directors and Marvel boss Kevin Feige have all consistently said that no theories have come close yet and that the deaths are real.
Which only leaves one conclusion.
This means it is increasingly likely what was shown was a flashback scene after all and Loki remains dead in the present day.
At the time Loki had the Chitauri Sceptre which held the Mind Stone. The flashback is likely to be part of a larger storyline concerning the remaining Avengers seeking the Infinity Stones but without a Time Stone of our own we will all have to wait until next April to find out...
