Avengers Infinity War: Black Panther star to REPLACE Robert Downey Jr as new Iron Man?
AVENGERS INFINITY WAR and Black Panther’s Shuri, played by Letitia Wright, has similarities with Tony Stark, so could she be replacing Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man with Iron Heart after Avengers 4?
Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War - Big Game Spot
The 24-year-old star played King T’Challa’s gadget-savvy little sister in Black Panther and now some fans are wondering if she’s being set up to replace Downey Jr’s Iron Man.
Think about it – Shuri is a genius, who is said to be more intelligent than even Tony Stark.
And she demonstrated her highly advanced Wakandan tech throughout the new movie.
Now here’s the big similarity – in Marvel comics there is a black teenage girl who studies at MIT and replaces Iron Man as Iron Heart.

Iron Man is replaced by Iron Heart in the Marvel comics, a black teenage genius girl – like Shuri
While she’s another character called Riri Williams, there’s every possibility that in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the two become one, as Shuri becomes Iron Heart in a solo movie after Avengers 4.
Another possible hint came at the end of Black Panther was when Shuri moves to California to run the Wakandan Outreach Centre – so she’s now in easy reach of coming across Tony Stark.
The theory is so popular among fans that BossLogic have mocked up what Shuri would look like as Iron Heart.
While Downey Jr has previously flip flopped on whether he would return for Iron Man 4, having him bow out as a mentor in a solo movie entitled Iron Heart could be a fitting handing on of the baton to Wright.

MIT students even made an Iron Heart fan trailer
There’s even the possibility of Iron Heart being a member of the West Coast Avengers, but Marvel Phase 4 remains mainly a mystery at this stage, aside from Spider-Man Homecoming 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3.
Shuri returns in Avengers Infinity War, released in UK cinemas on April 27, 2018.
