STAR WARS 8 The Last Jedi features Carrie Fisher’s final performance as Leia and Luke Skywalker actor Mark Hamill has teased her ending in Episode 9.

The late actress may have left us last Christmas, but she did manage to finish filming Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Early this morning fans were treated to the first glimpses of her final performance in a stunning new trailer.
Following her death, it became clear she was due to have a prominent role in Star Wars Episode 9, but now Lucasfilm have the challenge of explaining her absence in the 2019 movie.
Luke Skywalker actor Hamill teased Leia’s goodbye during a fan event at New York Comic Con over the weekend.

Speaking with USA Today, he said: “You’re going to really love her in [The Last Jedi].
“I know they’re going to try and find a way to close her story in [Episode IX] that gives her the respect she deserves, because [Han Solo] was more prominent in [The Force Awakens].
“Luke’s a little more prominent in [The Last Jedi], and certainly Leia was meant to be more prominent in [Episode IX].
“Worldwide, everyone feels that gap she left, but we all have to hang in there.”
But what if this is just a cover up for Leia dying in The Last Jedi? After all the new trailer hints that Kylo Ren will try to kill his mother.

If true, this would follow the murdering of his father Han Solo, in The Force Awakens.
Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi will be released in UK cinemas on December 14, 2017.
