The multi-million-selling musician is thought to be “in talks” to play Nancy in a new retelling of Oliver!
According to The Sun, she sees the venture as a “new challenge”, and something her young son Angelo can enjoy.
“It would be a major part for her and she’s seriously considering it,” a source said.
Nancy sings the iconic showtune As Long As He Needs Me, and was the subject of a BBC talent show from Andrew Lloyd-Webber in 2008; won by Jodie Prenger.

“She’s talked about Angelo being her number one priority and she sees this as a role that he could appreciate too,” the insider said.
“It would be a new challenge for her but one that she would definitely be up for.”
A representative for the Hello singer declined to comment when contacted by Express.co.uk.
Adele’s third album 25 was released in 2015 and is believed to have sold upwards of 20 million copies worldwide.
