Fantastic Beasts 2: Plot REVEALED as filming begins on Harry Potter spin-off sequel
FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM’s sequel has begun filming in London today, with new storyline details revealed.
Fantastic Beasts 2 is now filming
Principle photography has kicked off under director David Yates for the second of a planned five films in the series.
The story picks up in 1927, months after the end of the last movie - which saw Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) help to unveil and capture Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp).
Now, Grindelwald has made a dramatic escape and has been gathering more followers to his cause; elevating wizards above all non-magical beings.
The only person who can stop him is the man he once called his dearest friend: Albus Dumbedlore (Jude Law).
Eddie Redmayne returns to the cast
The first film was a big hit last year
Dumbledore, however, will need Newt’s help to bring Grindelwald down.
Katherine Waterston is also back on board as Tina Goldstein, with Alsion Sudol as her sister Queenie and Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski.
Zoe Kravitz will play Leta Lestrange, while Callum Turner is Theseus Scamander and Claudia Kim is a young woman first encountered at a wizarding circus.
JK Rowling has penned the screenplay, which is set in London and on to Paris.

A few surprising nods to the original Harry Potter series have been promised.
The sequel is being filmed at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, where much of the rest of the franchise was shot.
Fantastic Beasts 2 - still officially untitled - is out on November 16, 2018.
