Bad Neighbours X-rated shock: ‘Super-hardcore sex scene’ axed after audiences HATED it
BAD NEIGHBOURS was an outrageous comedy starring Zac Efron, Rose Byrne and Seth Rogen - but it could have been even MORE controversial, according to one of its stars.
It seems a super-X-rated sex scene was axed from Bad Neighbours
It seems one “super-hardcore” sex scene was axed from the well-received finished product because test audiences were strongly against it.
But rather than involving any of the main stars, it was about the mother of Christopher Mintz-Plasse’s character, Scoonie; played by Megan Mullally.
She was set to be seen in a three-way romp with Jimmy (Ike Barinholtz), as well as her and off-screen husband Nick Offerman.
Speaking to Howard Stern (via News.com.au), Barinholtz recalled: “In the movie, [Scoonie] f**ks my ex-wife, so we’re at war, an escalating war.”

For like two or three hours we shot this super-hardcore sex scene
That war was going to see Jimmy make serious moves on Scoonie’s mother - only to get his rival's dad roped in as well.
“For like two or three hours we shot this super-hardcore sex scene with me and Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman,” Barinholtz revealed.
“And I mean, it was f**king crazy.
“I have the back of her ankles on my shoulders, he’s got this big prosthetic d**k... It was f**king crazy.
“The whole time I’m like: This is the last thing they’re gonna see in the movie. This is so cool and punk rock!”

However, when the film was tried-out on test audiences, the feedback was far from encouraging.
“They shoot the movie, they test the movie, and then the director Nick Stoller calls me and says: ‘Hey I just wanted to let you know that the ending with the three-way tested lower than anything I’ve ever been involved in’,” he quipped.
The moment was axed from the edit and never seen or heard of again.

An uncomfortable sex scene also hit headlines yesterday: this time one from Deadpool.
Morena Baccarin opened up on her infamous “sex montage” in last year’s hit movie, saying: “It took two days to shoot [the sex scene], because I think it was us making sweet love for an entire calendar year.
“So it was all the holidays, you know. So we dressed differently for every one.

Deadpool actress glad film didn't have longer sex scene
“Believe me, there’s a lot left on the cutting room floor, because there are a lot of holidays. And I feel good about that - the part that was left out.
“I literally mean that [was] enough sex. Like nobody needs to see more than what was in the movie!”
Baccarin, 37, played Vanessa Carlysle in the movie, and is expected back in the upcoming sequel.
