Byrne is one of the models featured in Playboy's much-heralded return to showing naked images of women after a recent ban on nudity.
The actress, who has also appeared on US TV in major roles in Falling Skies and The Vampire Diaries, has written an article for the adult magazine called 'Free The Nipple.'
The March and April issue proudly declares that "Naked is Normal" and signals the Hefner dynasty's intent to regain its dominance over the field.
