Robert Redford rejects Hollywood Lefties and says he's NOT a Donald Trump hater
ROBERT REDFORD has rejected the Hollywood Left’s demonisation of Donald Trump and says he is depressed both sides aren’t working together.

The 80-year-old actor made the reveal at the opening press conference of the 2017 Sundance Film Festival.
Redford said: “Presidents come and go, the pendulum swings back and forth.
“We try to stay away from politics we stay focused on the stories of the filmmakers.”
He continued: “There was a time when two sides worked together and that makes me depressed about today.”
Redford, who previously revealed he is retiring from acting due to being tired and impatient, was clear he didn’t want to engage with the topic of Trump at the film festival.
He said: “We do not take a position. We don’t play advocacy.”
However the All the President’s Men star also commented on the pessimism towards Trump brought about by the media.

Redford added: “You want to look for where the light is going to come.
“In this current dialogue, it looks like a lot is going to be taken away from us and that will galvanises the people.
“I hope and I think it will be followed by a movement.”

With Trump being inaugurated as the 45th President of the United States yesterday, movie fans have been wondering if Redford could play him in a film due to their physical likeness.
Other actors who have been suggested include Jeff Bridges and Owen Wilson.
While Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston has openly admitted he wants to play the new President.
