TONIGHT’S Golden Globes paid a heartbreaking special tribute to Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds, weeks after both passed away.

It was late last month when the iconic mother and daughter lost their lives just one day apart.
Host Jimmy Fallon introduced a montage of happy clips of the pair in their many recognisable roles in the midst of tonight’s prize-giving.
He said: “This past year we lost so many legends and icons. But a few weeks ago we lost a mother and a daughter in just a couple of days.
“It was a loss that we all felt. And so tonight we’d like to pay tribute to Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds.”

Tonight’s ceremony started on a more upbeat note when Fallon poked fun at La La Land, the film sweeping the board in many categories.
