BRYAN CRANSTON has confirmed that very early discussions have been had about the possibility of a Malcolm In The Middle movie.

The sitcom, which also starred Frankie Muniz, Jane Kaczmarek, Christopher Masterson and Justin Berfield, ran for 151 episodes between 2000 and 2006, becoming a transatlantic smash hit.
Its ratings were huge, with over 15 million viewers at its peak - dwindling below 4 million for its final season after being moved to the dreaded Friday night slot.
Speaking during a Reddit AMA session in support of new movie Why Him?, Bryan - who went on to find monumental success again in Breaking Bad - said: "There has been some conversation about [a Malcolm in the Middle movie].”
He added: "I don't know if or when that could happen, I guess we have to gauge the temperament of the fans to see if it's something they want. But maybe.

It would be fun to play with all those people again
"It would be fun to play with all those people again."
He’s spoken about reforming with his co-stars before; telling E! News earlier this year that he hoped to mark the anniversary of the comedy’s finale.
"I sure hope so,” he admitted. “I really do, for no other reason than that I miss those people like crazy and I stay in touch with them.
"There's a possibility we want to start talking about the possibility of putting together a story that makes sense about that family 10 years or 12 years later."
In addition to millions of viewers, it was also a hit at awards shows
The show's cast are all said to still be in touch
In the meantime, Why Him? is a romantic comedy co-starring James Franco, Zoey Deutch and Megan Mullally.
Reviews have been mixed, but it’ll be targeting a Christmas audience when it hits US cinemas on Friday, December 23.
A UK release follows on December 26.
