TERENCE BAYLER, best known for Harry Potter and Life of Brian has died aged 86.
Terence Bayler has died aged 86
The actor died on August 2, but the news has only just been made public.
Monty Python star Eric Idle made the announcement on his Twitter account.
He wrote: “I’m so sad to hear of the death of Terence Bayler, from NZ originally.
“He was in Pass The Butler, Life of Brian & played legendary Leggy!”

Terence played Macduff in Roman Polanski's Macbeth

The New Zealand-born actor played Mr. Gregory in Monty Python’s Life of Brian.
His famous line from the Spartacus spoof crucifixion scene is one of the most quoted.
When a Roman guard asks the condemned who this Brian is, Mr Gregory shouts out: “I’m Brian and so’s my wife.”
The line followed Idle's immortal rendition of Always Look on the Bright Side of Life, which is one of UK's top funeral songs.
The actor also had parts in Terry Gilliam’s Time Bandits and Brazil.
In 2001 he played The Bloody Baron in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
He also portrayed Macduff in Roman Polanski’s bloody adaptation of Macbeth.
During filming he was injured in a sword fight with Jon Finch, who played Macbeth, resulting in needing stitches.
