A lot is resting on the release on the first Star Wars Anthology film this December.
The main nine-film franchise may seem unstoppable, but the spin-off Rogue One is an unknown quantity, so far.
The prequel is supposed to launch a whole new series of standalone films, with at least two more in pre-production so far. So, the news that Disney has ordered a four weeks of reshoots on Rogue One sent seismic ripples of concern across the Star Wars fandom.

Initial concerns were that early test screenings had not been positive.
However, sources have confirmed that there have been no test screenings, exactly the same as with Episode VII: The Force Awakens.
Variety magazine is reporting, instead, that the real reeason is simply to incorporate a major cameo.
After months of speculation, Alden Ehrenreich has been confirmed as the new Han Solo and it would make sense for him to put in an appearance in the upcoming Star Wars prequel.
Alden Ehrenreich will replace Harrison Ford as Han Solo
Ehrenreich triumphed over Taron Egerton, Dave Franco and Clint Eastwood's son, Scott, for the role. A spin-off film based around the young Han Solo will follow Rogue One and is expected to hit cinemas in 2018.
Variety reporter Justin Kroll announced the news of a potential Han Solo cameo in Rogue One on Twitter.
He wrote: "Sources say reshoots are expected on ROGUE 1; nothing to worry about, most of the shoot will involve the cameo of a very important character.
"In my HAN SOLO list story back in Jan. I said that Han would likely appear in ROGUE ONE so this all makes sense now that Alden is their guy."
