Pusher: trailer and review
PUSHER is an efficient but rather redundant London-set remake of the cult 1996 Danish drug thriller directed by Nicolas Winding Refn (who exec produces here).
Richard Coyle is a mid-level drugs pusher, Frank, who gets into debt to an avuncular but lethal Serbian crime lord (Zlatko Buric) after a botched deal.
With two days to pay back £55,000 the low-key Frank turns violent to save his neck. It’s hard to care about him, and the milieu is very over-familiar, but the story grips towards the end.
