Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale film review and trailer
RARE Exports: A Christmas Tale is an oddball Finnish movie set in Lapland that imagines Santa Claus as a mythic demon buried deep underground and encased in ice.
Directed by Jalmari Helander, inspired by his own short films, it’s rather slow to get going but turns into an effectively unusual horror-fantasy for teenagers when Santa finally thaws out.
