Stan Lee future cameos: Marvel boss Kevin Feige gives update on unreleased movies
STAN LEE will cameo in future Marvel movies, according to Marvel boss Kevin Feige.
Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee dies aged 95
The 95-year-old Marvel legend died yesterday, but fans will still get to enjoy his cameos in a few more unreleased movies.
Wonderfully Lee managed to record and shoot cameos for a number of 2019 movies.
Speaking with Variety, Marvel boss Kevin Feige teased: “I’m not going to tell you what specifically.
“But Stan always appreciated a good surprise.”
The next Marvel movie featuring Lee is Sony’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which is released this Christmas.
Some lucky fans were able to watch a preview of the film at New York Comic Con earlier this year.
The footage included a cameo of Lee’s which allegedly sees him play the owner of a costume shop.
Then next year sees the release of three new MCU movies in the form of Captain Marvel, Avengers 4 and Spider-Man Far From Home.
According to Yahoo! Movies, Lee’s agent confirmed that he does cameo in Captain Marvel.
Meanwhile, the Russo Brothers have revealed he managed to shoot his bit for Avengers 4 too.
However, it’s unknown if he managed to get one in for Spider-Man Far From Home which arrives in July
Even if he didn’t, no doubt a picture of him – like in Deadpool 2 – will somehow make it into the movie as a tribute, seeing as Lee created the character.
Also, there are two X-Men movies released next year including Dark Phoenix and The New Mutants.
Allegedly he didn’t film a cameo for Dark Phoenix, and it's unknown if he’ll appear in the horror X-Men movie.
Lee’s last cameo before he died to be shown in cinemas was in Venom opposite Tom Hardy.
Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse is released in UK cinemas on December 12.
