AUSTIN POWERS 4 has been confirmed by Mike Myers at a Bohemian Rhapsody premiere.
Verne Troyer famous for 'Mini-Me' in Austin Powers dies at 49
The 55-year-old comedian plays record producer Ray Foster in the new Freddie Mercury biopic.
Attending the New York premiere of Bohemian Rhapsody recently, he gave an update on plans for Austin Powers 4.
Speaking with Access Online, he said: “You're going to see Dr Evil soon, somewhere in the culture.
“The [fourth Austin Powers] movie... it's looking good. They take a long time to write, they always have.”
Myers previously spoke out on plans for Austin Powers 4 back in May.
He said: “I can’t say. But it’s, you know, maybe. It’s a very strong maybe. We’ll see.
“I would love to. I’ve had three kids in the last six years and that’s sort of been where my focus has been.
“But, you know, I love doing all the characters and it’s a non-stop party when we’re shooting. It’s fun.”
He also told Entertainment Tonight: “I would love to do a movie from Dr Evil's perspective.
“So it would be Dr Evil 1, Austin Powers 4, is how I would roll... Start the campaign, please. Thank you."
Back in April, Myers portrayed Dr Evil for the first time in years on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Talking with the host, Dr Evil explained how he had been fired from President Trump’s cabinet.
He also lamented being sidelined as Steve Bannon was given Secretary of Evil instead of him.
Perhaps more of this is what Myers meant by seeing more “Dr Evil soon, somewhere in the culture.”
That, or maybe in the form of some other medium.
Austin Powers 4’s release date is TBC.
