Margaret Thatcher: The greatest of ladies
IN 1990 I did a double take when the radio presenter referred to the prime minister and added “he”.
What a woman. The rest are pygmies in the shadow of a giant.
He? Since when was the prime minister a man?
That, if nothing else, illustrates quite how much the then Mrs Thatcher did to further the cause of women, whatever the bone headed Lefties say.
In 1985 I was at a Young Conservatives ball (oh yes) when she made an unscheduled appearance.
From the reaction of the crowd you would have thought a deity had manifested itself among us.
What a woman. The rest are pygmies in the shadow of a giant.
