Thifty advice from the Bank of England governor's wife
HER husband earns £874,000 a year as governor of the Bank of England but that's no reason for Diana Carney to be wasteful.
She tells us to exhume ancient lip glosses, wrap presents in reusable fabric instead of paper, to recycle teabags and to encourage our children to take care of their pencil cases to avoid the inevitable September pencil-buying frenzy.
She may be a tad preachy and annoying, it may irritate the heck out of us that she's so privileged and yet so infuriatingly worthy, but the woman has a valid point. Loaded hubby or not, she's entitled to express it and at least she's not too busy tunnelling under her house to make a home health spa and snapping up designer handbags to bother making it.
