Muslim Faith School shuts its doors after Ofsted inspection
WITHIN hours of the Ofsted inspectors going into what is said to be the first Muslim Faith School in the country teaching pupils aged from four to 18, the school decided to close down temporarily.
Claims that girls were forced to sit at the back of the class and wait for their meals until the boys were fed and women teachers alleging they were made to comply with a strict Muslim dress code, complete with hijab or headscarf, regardless of their own religion clearly need to be investigated and there are other possible unacceptable events at the Al-Madinah school in Derby.
It is vital the inspectors do a thorough job and are able to report in full, regardless of fear, favour or faith.
