Lindsay Sandiford should have known better
I AM sorry for Lindsay Sandiford, the Briton now facing the death sentence in Bali, but as we keep being told she is a grandmother and therefore old enough to know better than to smuggle drugs and the amount involved, estimated at £1.6million worth of cocaine, would in turn have caused death and destruction of its own.
Britons who break the law overseas shouldn't be bailed out by HM Government
I am not trying to be cruel but if Britons believe they will always be bailed out by representations from HM Government, which has become a pattern over the years, then there is no deterrent to importing and exporting mental problems, addiction and death.
It is with sorrow rather than vindictiveness that I observe that maybe it is time for another country to show that Britons are not immune from its laws.
