Have a holiday!
DAIVD Cameron is reported as saying he will remain in charge for 52 weeks a year rather than leave a deputy on duty during part of the Summer break. If that report is correct then he is wrong big time.
Of course it is essential for the Prime Minister always to be available in the event of emergency but it is also essential for his own health and for good governance that he gets a proper break and returns refreshed and rearing to go.
I know very few people who think Cameron is not good doing a good job but even superman will tire if he does not rest.
Churchill used to paint, Thatcher always went abroad as did Blair. Harold Wilson went to the Scilly Isles, Ted Heath went sailing. Mr. Cameron should learn from past leaders of all parties and know when it is safe to relax his hold on the reins or he may find those hands too tired when the horses decide to bolt.
