Delivery firm hell: part two
LAST week I recounted my experiences with the delivery firm DPD, which denies callers an opportunity to speak to a human and which responded to my emails with a computer-generated reply.
After the piece appeared I received an email from the company saying how wonderful it was and how it won awards.
Hilariously the communication concluded that it would love any comments I might have.
You couldn’t make it up.
In disbelief, I pointed out that I had made my comments already and that still nobody was responding to them, that all anyone was focused on was parcel- tracking while I was making two quite separate points: that it couldn’t implement a standing instruction and that I couldn’t speak to a human to discuss it.
This time the reply at least acknowledged my concerns and I was thanked for my “feedback” which would be “passed on”.
I was making two quite separate points: that it couldn’t implement a standing instruction and that I couldn’t speak to a human to discuss it
Meanwhile I said that if anyone actually had a number for DPD which produced a human I would publish it.
An equally despairing reader obliged and here it is: 0844 824 0530.
