Transgender lobby MUST read JK Rowling's latest masterpiece, says JUDY FINNIGAN
JK ROWLING'S latest book in the Strike series - under the pen name Robert Galbraith - has shot to the top of the bestseller charts.
I bought it straight away; I'm a huge fan of Cormoran Strike, the charismatic and curmudgeonly former soldier who lost a leg in Afghanistan and who runs a detective agency with delectable (female) business partner Robin.
This new one, Troubled Blood, is terrific and I'm delighted it is a success. Not just because it's good but because transgender activists, already baying for Rowling's blood because they say she's "transphobic" (nonsense), have called for it to be banned because one of the characters is, they say, a "transvestite killer".
Not true; he's a killer who uses women's clothes as a disguise when he abducts his victims.
I wish these people would read the books they want to boycott.
