Hollywood star Johnny Depp was seen arriving at the Regent Hotel in Berlin, Germany, just days after images of him looking gaunt were posted online.
The 54-year-old actor, who is currently on tour with his rock band Hollywood Vampires, was snapped signing autographs for fans outside the building.
Johnny looked thinner than usual and a little tired, but managed to pull a smile for the crowd of people waiting for him.
Dressed in a striped flight jacket and baggy black bottoms, Johnny was accompanied by security guards as he entered the hotel.
He shielded his eyes from the flash photography with a pair of dark sunglasses and wore a baseball cap emblazoned with the word ‘Fugly Los Angles’.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star also sported several chains and had a few accessories dangle from his trouser pocket.
His outing comes just days after he appeared in a photo taken with a fan following a gig in St Petersburg last Wednesday night.
Famed for his rugged good looks, the actor turned musician appeared hollow-eyed and skinny in the snap.
Fans of the star were shocked by the image and have taken to Twitter to speak out about his appearance.
One Twitter user wrote: “Johnny Depp looks so bad OMG is he ill or something?”(sic)
He looks pale here. Hope he’s okay
Another posted: “He looks pale here. Hope he’s okay.”
A third asked: “F*** me is that Johnny Depp?”
Someone else speculated: “He looks like this for a new movie, he is fine and not sick.”
Another one of Johnny’s fans leapt to his defence, saying: “Just saw #Johnny Depp in concert in Hamburg. He looks healthy, happy and he had so much fun. He didn’t look sick, pale or thin at all. How pictures can deceive and impression.”
Johnny is currently working on a new movie, titled Richard Says Goodbye, which sees him portray a college professor who is diagnosed with a terminal illness.
The film also stars Zoey Deutch, Danny Huston, Rosemarie De Witt, Devon Terrell and Odessa Young.
It is written and directed by Wayne Roberts and is due for release later this year.
Johnny has starred in a number of major blockbuster movies including Edward Scissorhands, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Alice in Wonderland.
He has been nominated for three Academy Awards and his accolades include a Golden Globe Award and Screen Actors Guild gong for Best Actor.
