Charley Webb exchanged vows with her Emmerdale co-star Matthew, who portrays David Metcalfe, earlier this month.
The couple, who first began dating back in 2007, had told guests that they would be attending the actress’ early 30th birthday party - before surprising them by tying the knot.
But, the 29-year-old has now opened up about her sadness over some of her closest friends not being able to see her say, ‘I do’.
In an interview with OK! Magazine, the actress revealed: “Emily Symons [ who played Louise Appleton] is over in Australia and she’s one of my really good friends, so it’s a shame she couldn’t be there.

“Jenna [Coleman] who used to be in the show is now filming in Australia, so she couldn’t be there, and Liz Estensen [who plays Diane Sugden] couldn’t be there as she had her family over, but if she’d known it was my wedding she’d have definitely been there.
Matthew, 37, added: “Apart from a few people, everyone could make it.
“Everyone was really excited about Charley’s 30th in a lovely castle and they were all telling me in advance that they were going to get dressed up, which was great.”
Charley, who is the sister of Jamie Lomas, also opened up about her sadness that former Emmerdale actress Sheree Murphy (who was known for playing Tricia Dingle) couldn’t attend.
