The Coronation Street favourite was the first star to be revealed ahead of the reboot, which will see her partnered with Matej Silecky.
However, the actress’ boyfriend Kean Bryan need not worry if her interview in the latest issue of OK! magazine is anything to go by.
When asked if the Dancing On Ice curse had crossed her mind, Brooke commented: “No, not really - it’s not Strictly.”
The 25-year-old continued: “I’m just looking at it as an amazing opportunity to learn a skill and have fun.

It’s about proving things to myself, such as taking constructive criticism and instruction
“I’ve done so much preparation to get there that it’s about proving things to myself, such as taking constructive criticism and instruction from someone.”
On whether she had been asked to do the hugely BBC rival, Brooke, who plays Sophie Webster, replied: “No. I don’t know why I’ve said yes to Strictly plus ice.”
The soap star has been dating Oldham Athletic footballer Kean, 21, since April last year, following her split from former Chelsea midfielder Josh McEachran, 24, after four years.

Finally, revealing what her man thinks about her doing the show, Brooke admitted she now no longer makes him jealous with her diet.
She added: “He’s excited. Dean’s really supportive. He’s really proud of me for not smoking.
“Obviously he has to eat quite well because of his career so I think he pretty happy he isn’t having to watch me eat KFC, McDonald’s and Nando’s! I now understand how strict it can be for him.”
The full interview can be seen in the latest issue of OK! magazine, which is out now.
Coronation Street continues tomorrow at 7.30pm on ITV, while Dancing On Ice is expected to start early next year on the same channel.
