GARY LINEKER took to Twitter this afternoon to make his feelings very clear on the country's decision to leave the European Union.

The former footballer showed his Remainer colours as he went on a rant on social media at Brexiteers and the referendum that took place in June last year.
MEP Richard Corbett tweeted an article, which included a poll that claimed "majority want to #StopBrexit".
Gary retweeted the post and took a swipe at those who had chosen to vote leave.
"Unsurprising. None of us knew the consequences at the time of the [referendum]," he wrote.

"As the picture becomes clearer it's hard to see a single positive."
The poll by Survation survey, which was referenced in his tweet, claimed that 54 per cent of Britons would now vote to Remain if another referendum was held today.
Meanwhile, only 46 per cent would choose to leave Brussels if they were given another chance to vote.

It comes after ex-Tory MP Ben Howlett claimed that the question about Britain rejoining the European Union may be put on the table to please young voters.
Speaking on BBC Radio 4, he said: "I think there is a very big issue in relation to Brexit with younger people. Most of them voted to stay in, I campaigned to stay in as a young person myself.
"Young people realise if we don’t end up with a decent deal, then the question if we stay in or stay out is going to be back on the table again, in my lifetime at least.”
