JIM CARREY has dropped his attempt to force his former girlfriend’s mother to pay him $372,000 in the case against him, according to reports.

The film star has been blamed for ex Cathriona White’s suicide by her mum Brigid Sweetman, following her shock death in September 2015.
According to the MailOnline, the 55-year-old has agreed to meet with her in person before the case goes to trial.
In court documents reportedly obtained by the publication, Carrey has withdrawn his motion with prejudice, meaning he is unable to refile at a later date.
The actor had asked Sweetman to pay an undertaking he could recover if he prevailed in the case.

She first filed the wrongful death lawsuit in October, while White’s estranged husband also filed a suit.
Sweetman claimed Carrey gave her daughter the prescription drugs that ultimately contributed to her death as well as three sexually-transmitted diseases.
But, the document are said to have revealed that The Mask star claims he did not transmit them to her.

In a note to Carrey, who says she was not close to her family at the time of her death, White said she was “damaged goods” and claimed he had called her a “w***e”.
Meanwhile, he is alleged to have obtained the medication under the name Arthur King.
