Dan Walker SLAMS Piers Morgan in VERY heated Michael Fallon spat: 'Let Susanna Reid talk!'
PIERS MORGAN is certainly not one to hold his tongue so it’s no surprise he didn’t take Dan Walker’s comments lying down this morning as the pair became embroiled in yet another spat about BBC Breakfast and Good Morning Britain.
Piers Morgan BLASTS Michael Fallon for GMB no-show
Piers Morgan, 52, slammed Defence Secretary Michael Fallon on today’s GMB after he pulled out of an appearance on his show and opted to visit Dan Walker, 40, on the BBC instead.
However, after he went ballistic about Fallon choosing BBC Breakfast’s “softball” questions over his, Walker decided enough was enough and took to Twitter to have his say.
Tweeting an Express.co.uk article regarding Morgan’s rant, Walker added: “Choices...a) watch a bloke moaning about not getting an interview [or] b) watch the interview on @BBCBreakfast.”
Not ending the jibes there, he then continued: “Here's a tip, from a football presenter...let the interviewee (or your fellow presenter) speak and they might come on #ItsNotAboutYou.”
Piers Morgan and Dan Walker have had another Twitter spat
Walker hit out at Morgan on social media
Morgan called Walker 'dull' in the fiery exchange
Here's a tip, from a football presenter...let the interviewee (or your fellow presenter) speak and they might come on #ItsNotAboutYou
However, a defiant Morgan - who presents the ITV morning news show alongside Susanna Reid - replied: “Ah, got it. So THAT'S how you manage to be so dull...“ alongside two laughing emojis.
Walker then went on to say: “Maybe Sir Michael Fallon was worried about your hard-hitting style @piersmorgan? #TalentShowJudge #ItsNotAboutYou #LetSusannaTalk.”
And the feud continued as Morgan pointed out that the gap between the GMB and BBC Breakfast had been closing in, with him saying: “BREAKING: Ratings gap between @GMB & @BBCBreakfast last week was closest for 2yrs. Thanks for switching over & welcome!” alongside a thumbs up emoji.
Neither Morgan or Walker wanted to back down
This certainly isn't the first time the pair have come to blows
Michael Fallon had been due to appear on GMB
Morgan’s comments come after he raged on GMB: “Michael Fallon agreed to appear on this show today but changed his mind at midnight last night and bottled it.
“Apparently he’s on the BBC now so if you want to get a load of soft balls talk to, Michael Fallon get on the BBC; be my guest.
“He should have been here facing tough questions about what this government is doing to handle what I think is the greatest disaster crisis we’ve had to deal with in decades.”
Morgan continued: “No one from the Shadow Cabinet could be bothered either, they didn’t fancy it.
“None of them want to talk about this because it is a complete disgrace that stains all of them. All of the Labour and Tory councils have failed and their failure to come on and defend it is shocking.”
