Peter Hobden, 55, and Shelly Wozencroft, 50, were left speechless when they found themselves in a queue for selfies with a number of A-list stars.
The pair were on a once-in-a-lifetime holiday when they decided to take a sightseeing tour of Hollywood.
The last stop of the tour was the Oscars ceremony where the couple, along with several others, were ushered inside to meet a whole host of actors.
Speaking about the moment, Pete said: "They lifted up the fence and ushered us inside, past two security guards and through a metal detector.

We had no clue whatsoever
"They told us, 'This is a special tour' and said we would be going to an exhibition to see all the gowns and that we might get to touch an Oscar. We had no clue whatsoever."
The tour turned out to be part of a prank organised by the host for the night, Jimmy Kimmel.
But the couple were thrilled when they got to take a photograph with Nicole Kidman, Ryan Gosling and Jennifer Aniston.
