David Cassidy 'not talking to anybody' amid heartbreaking dementia battle, says friend
DAVID CASSIDY'S dementia has left him "not talking to anybody", his friend and former The Partridge Family co-star Danny Bonaduce has said in a new interview.
Danny Bonaduce: David Cassidy must be terrified of dementia
David, 66 - who hit headlines because gig-goers assumed he was "drunk" during a recent performance - opened up about his battle with the illness in a tell-all chat with Dr Phil at the end of last month.
Danny, 57 - who starred as Danny Partridge in the 1970s TV show, alongside David, who played Keith - pointed out that David's mother and grandfather had died from dementia.
Danny told Today Extra hosts David Campbell and Sonia Kruger: "My friend David Cassidy, as I guess you're hearing, is not well.
"He is slipping into dementia which he said he expected. His mum died of dementia [and] I believe his grandfather the same. The poor guy must be terrified."

"As I understand it he's not talking to anybody, I think he wants to get a handle on what's coming next," the star continued.
Danny's comments come after David said that his illness has made him become "very concerned" for his wellbeing.
He explained: “I certainly wasn’t intoxicated, and it has nothing to do with why I’m leaving [the industry]."

David shared: "Certainly, my dementia has contributed to the reason why I don’t want to go out, and I don’t want to hear, ‘Well, he looked like he was drunk'. I wasn’t.
“When friends of yours or family members begin to say to you, ‘Remember, I just told you this two days ago', and there’s no memory of it, that’s when I began to be very concerned.”
The actor and singer spoke about his private struggle days after he was seen slurring his words at the gig in Agoura, near Los Angeles.
