He alleged that he was not told that the singer was going to be adopting the four-year-old girls permanently.
"That cannot be true," Adam Mwale said upon hearing his daughters would not be returning as he spoke for the first time about Esther and Stella.
"I was told from the start that Esther and Stella were going to a rich woman's home abroad," he explained. "That she would give them a good education, then return them to me, to live me and help all of my family.
"Now you are telling me the adoption is permanent. That cannot be true - I don't want it to be true. I am their father and I will always be their father."

Madonna is said to have visited the girls at the Home of Hope orphanage
I am their father and I will always be their father
The 40-year-old explained that the youngsters were placed in the Home of Hope orphanage after the death of their mother Patricia and he regularly visited them.
It is believed that during a visit to see Esther and Stella last May he was told that Madonna was interested in taking the girls away and educating them.
Adam explained that he consulted with Patricia's family and they agreed it would be a good opportunity for the girls but he was not aware that they would not return home.
He insisted to the Mail on Sunday: "I accepted that they would go abroad but I was told they would also be coming back. They would always be my children, and I would always be their daddy."
Adam said that was not aware that Madonna wanted to permanently adopt the twins
Madonna has already adopted two other children
Madonna was granted permission to adopt the twins earlier this month by the country's High Court.
Mlenga Mvula, a court spokesperson told Reuters: "Today the High Court made a ruling that she should go ahead and adopt the two children.
"Within a year she should provide us with a home survey report which the court has ordered her to provide."
Express.co.uk has contacted a representative for Madonna following these reports.
