KATY PERRY appeared to make not one but two digs at Britney Spears during the 59th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles last night.

The hitmaker received a furious backlash online after making some controversial comments when asked about her new hairstyle.
The 32-year-old, who showed off a much, shorter blonde 'do for the first time, seemingly made reference to Britney shaving her head back in 2007.
Speaking to CBS on the red carpet about her locks, Katy commented: "It’s the last colour in the spectrum that I can do."
The beauty continued: "I’ve done all of them and the only thing left to do is shave my head which I’m really saving for a public breakdown. I’m down for that."

Later, during a chat with E!'s Ryan Seacrest, he mentioned that there had been a "pause in [her] music".
Katy, who wowed in a metallic, feathered gown, replied: "Yeah, that’s called taking care of your mental health."
When he asked how it had gone, she added: "Fantastic, and I haven’t shaved my head yet."

People soon took to Twitter to condemn her remarks, with one tweet reading: "Britney would never stand there on a red carpet, on TV, & shade another artist she claims to admire. Thought you were different @katyperry."
Another user wrote: "Katy Perry just made ANOTHER dig at Britney Spears shaving her head on CBS!"
A third tweeted: "Britney has 2 of the best selling albums in history certified +200M records sold ww Katy who? #katyperryisoverparty."
