Michael Jackson's fedora from Smooth Criminal video sells for £8,500
THE fedora worn by Michael Jackson in the legendary music video for Smooth Criminal has sold at auction for £8,454.
Michael Jackson's hat from the film Moonwalker has sold at auction
The white hat was donned by the King of Pop for the short film which featured in the 1988 movie Moonwalker.
Jackson wore the white hat - along with a matching pinstripe suit - to debut his anti-gravity lean.
After the movie he signed his name along the inside of the brim and gave it to a former manager.

It was put up for online auction on Friday by a private collector from Holland and snapped up by a Belgian buyer who fought off competition from seven other bidders.
A spokesman for auctioneers Catawiki said: ''Especially after his death, the value of Michael Jackson's personal property increased dramatically.
Michael Jackson signed the hat after the video was finished
"Collectors sometimes pay outlandish sums for garments worn by Jackson to own them.
"The estimated price for the hat was met, and it was purchased by a collector living in Belgium."
