AMIR KHAN has released a statement apologising for both his parents and wife’s recent behaviour, claiming they are “destroying” his name and he’s “had enough”.

The boxer’s wife Faryal Makhdoom previously took to Snapchat to criticise his family as she claimed they tried to destroy her marriage.
His mother Falak and father Shah hit back at the claims yesterday and revealed they fell out with the model over her choice of clothing.
Shah, 54, said: "Faryal was adopting a dress code which in the Islamic faith was not acceptable.

"I am a father to two daughters whom I have treated exactly the same way as I have treated Faryal.”
Now 30-year-old Amir has taken to social media to share his side of the story to his 1.8 million Twitter followers and apologised on his family’s behalf.
He posted a statement on Twitter, which read: “I apologise on the silly picture and message my wife Faryal put up. Here is me working my a** off helping the less fortunate with charity dinners and my family and wife are just destroying my name.
“I didn’t want to get involved in this mess. There is NO reality television show. My parents are my parents and my wife is my wife. Whatever misunderstanding has happened they should keep it private.

“This is getting to the point where they will lose a son and a husband. Childish behaviour. Both parties need to stop this. I’ve had enough.”
Last week, his wife told her online followers: "Don't get your sons married if you're going to abuse and bully the wife.
"When you force [Amir] to divorce his wife, when she’s nine months pregnant! And [he] doesn’t… and he sticks beside his wife. He’s called a p***y!? Okay, I’m guessing Islam teaches us to get married and divorce our wives and treat them bad?"
The couple got married in 2013 in New York and had a daughter named Lamaisah in 2014.
