BBC DJ Mark Goodier, 55, suffers stroke as friends admit he's in 'good spirits'
MARK GOODIER is off work after suffering a stroke, according to reports.

The BBC radio DJ, who first joined the broadcaster back in 1987, is said to have confirmed the sad news via his out of office at media company Wise Buddah.
"Thank you for your email. I am away from work for a time recovering from a stroke and so not seeing email every day," the 55-year-old reportedly wrote.
However, Mark is said to be in "good spirits" despite the health scare and he has been tweeting about colleague Sir Terry Wogan this week.
"He’s back home after spending some time in hospital. I've since chatted with him on the phone, and can thankfully report he’s in good spirits," a friend told the Daily Mirror.

It is also believed that his sickness means the television advert for Now 95 will be voiced by someone else for the first time in 25 years.
Xtra Factor host Matt Edmondson will take over for the festive offering, after Mark first took on the role in 1991.
The BBC veteran is best known for being Radio 1's very first presenter of The Evening Session, which kicked off in 1990.

Since the he has presented the UK Top 40 chart countdown as well as Radio 2 and Top of the Pops alongside several of his colleagues.
Mark's final Radio 1 broadcast was on November 17, 2002, which also marked the 50th anniversary of the singles chart.
