A police source claims the gun-toting crooks who raided the 35-year-old's apartment "knew the security code" to the private residence, where Kim held more than $5.6million worth of jewellery.
"They acted like they had all the time in the world. It is quite incredible that they managed to hang about for so long without anyone calling us," an insider said.
They also stated that CCTV footage saw the men arrived at 2.18am, though they didn't flee the property until 3.07am.

"They clearly knew the security code of the main doors, and let themselves in without any problem at all," the source told Us Weekly.
Kim's lawyer has said that the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star is "very calm and determined" to help bring those responsible to justice.
Asked how she was coping, Jean Veil said: "She is very calm and very determined over a matter that was particularly violent.
"If she is summoned to France, she will come to France, but judges also have the possibility of moving [to the United States]."
The announcement comes shortly after reports suggested that the group of five used a decoy to escape.

Officers investigating the case recently discovered a tiny gemstone close to Kim's property and believe the potentially costly slip-up could mean that "they were amateurs."
However, another police official recently told the publication that the error could have a deliberate attempt to lure the authorities away from the reality.
"They wanted us to believe they were amateurs, but all the real clues point to them being extremely sophisticated professionals. There is no way a gang like this would drop stuff and fall off bicycles - and all that was done for any cameras that might be in the area," they claimed.
