Johnny Depp's lawyer 'asks judge to stop Amber Heard's witnesses giving evidence in court'
JOHNNY DEPP'S legal team are attempting to stop Amber Heard's witnesses from taking to the stands at tomorrow's restraining-order hearing, it has been reported.
Amber Heard has accused Johnny Depp of domestic abuse
In court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Johnny's lawyers have requested "that the Court refuse to receive live testimony from Amber's non-party witnesses" because the actress' lawyers reportedly failed to provide a witness list beforehand.
The petition states: "Petitioner Amber Laura Depp did not serve any witness list with her Request for Domestic Violence Restraining Order. Indeed, as of the date hereof, Amber has not served any witness list."
They added that at a June 10 hearing, "the Court asked Amber lawyers whether she would be calling any witnesses. While Amber's counsel said she would – 'four or five witnesses' – even then she did not identify who her non-party witnesses are".
