The presenter will channel Meghan Trainor in tomorrow night's show after her astronaut pal randomly decided "it was her song".
The 55-year-old happily shakes her curves and pert bottom in a skintight pair of jeans in a teaser for the Channel 5 programme released this week.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk today, Carol discussed her upbeat routines against Martin Kemp, whether she'll win the best bottom in showbusiness for the third time, as well as her recent flying achievement.
When asked about her "battle", the mother-of-two commented: "It's meant to be funny, so you have to go for it. I only knew three days before, and you can't do it half-heartedly."

I only knew three days before about Lip Sync Battle, and you can't do it half-heartedly!
On why she picked the upbeat dance tune, Carol continued: "I was in Washington DC - I've got a lot of friends over there. We were having a dinner party and my big buddy, who's an astronaut, decided it was my song.
"His son then started choreographing me, and then I flew home and went straight to the studio. It's a bit bizarre isn't it?"
Carol, who said she wasn't nervous about watching her routines, admitted her children hadn't seen them yet but added: "They know what I'm like."
The former Countdown star surprised Martin by singing his band Spandau Ballet's hit Gold, while "channelling Kate Bush".
Lip Sync Battle UK airs tomorrow at 11.05pm on Channel 5.
