MUSIC mogul Simon Cowell celebrated being one year older with a celebrity-filled bash in Los Angeles.

The X Factor judge, who officially turned 56 on October 7, invited a host of his showbiz pals to Sur restaurant in West Hollywood, and he ended up whizzing around the place in a tiny car.
Simon's doting fiancée Lauren Silverman, 38, organised the glitzy affair at the venue – which is owned by her close friend Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump – and the likes of fashion designer Rachel Roy and TV host Ryan Seacrest were on the guest list.
It was Ryan who gifted Simon with the miniature vehicle, which was a sly dig at Simon's height.
As Simon took the lavish present for a test drive, Ryan snapped a photo and said: "Found Simon a Maybach in his size. Happy 56th."
Simon was also spoiled with a delicious birthday cake complete with elaborate sparklers instead of candles.
Meanwhile, Simon presumably won't mind the fact that he's one year older because he knows when he is going to die.
The talent show staple recently revealed that he's had tests done to predict what age he will kick the bucket.
"I had the DNA test done in LA which predicts when you're going to die," he told the Daily Mirror.

"They take your blood and DNA, then give you back a sheet of paper which says: 'We think you're going to be alive until xxxx.'"
The good news was, the results suggested that Simon will live for another 40 years and he will make it to the grand old age of 95.
"Obviously it doesn't take account of the fact you might get hit by a bus tomorrow, but I got told I'd die aged 95 – which is about as good as you can expect," he boasted.
Simon attributed his impressive life expectancy down to having a family
