Iggy Pop hides art collection from thieves
Rocker IGGY POP had to mothball his priceless collection of Haitian art following a burglary at his home.
The Lust for Life hitmaker was targeted by thieves when he was touring the world with his band The Stooges, but the crooks only stole his electronic goods.
The veteran star is convinced they were unaware of the value of his artwork, but he decided to move the precious collection out of his main residence in Miami, Florida to protect it.
He tells Seven magazine, "I had a lot of top-drawer Haitian art in this house, until there was a really long Stooges tour... I never thought about locking the doors... Yeah, I was gone a long time. But they came in and took all the electronics but none of the valuables, 'cause they didn't know (the value)."
