'What curse would that be?' Tess Daly denies Strictly Come Dancing relationship jinx
SHE'S THE long-standing host of Strictly Come Dancing but Tess Daly doesn't believe in the 'curse' the show has on relationships.
The blonde TV presenter, married to Vernon Kay, has shot down any suggestion the show has anything to do with contestants' relationships failing.
But with a string of celebrities' marriages and relationships coming to an end while on the show, viewers still believe the curse is strong.
Talking to Bob FM presenter Graham Mack, Tess was asked: "The Strictly curse - is it real?"
Tess, who has been married to TV and radio personality Vernon for over ten years, replied: "You're going there, aren't you? What curse would that be?"
She added: "I don't think so, no. I'm not aware of it."
It's reported when the host of the Bob FM radio show asked about Susanna Reid's relationship breakdown, which happened after she appeared on Strictly Come Dancing last year, Tess said she wouldn't comment.
The SCD presenter said: "'I don't think there's any truth in that. I'm not here to talk about that."
While Tess many not believe in the Strictly curse, another of the show's celebrity contestants recently announced the end of his marriage.
Ben Cohen, who appeared on the show last year, announced the end of his 11 year marriage to wife Abby last month.
And Countdown star Rachel Riley revealed her marriage was over after her stint on Strictly and has since begun dating her former dance partner Pasha Kovalev.
Natasha Kaplinsky - who won the first series of the show back in 2004 - and Joe Calzaghe, of the 2009 Strictly alumni, broke up with long term partners after appearing on the show.
