George Clooney shares his excitement over Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's secret wedding
HE'S BEEN a close friend of Brangelina for many years and today George Clooney expressed his joy on the news that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have finally tied the knot.
The 53-year-old actor, who is gearing up for his own nuptials to lawyer fiancée Amal Alamuddin, spoke to People Magazine shortly after the couple's spokesman confirmed the couple's wedding in France.
"How great is that?!" said George.
"I'm really happy for Brad and Angie and their whole family," he added.
Clooney has remained close to Brad after starring alongside him in several blockbusters including Ocean's Eleven and its sequels, Burn After Reading and Confessions of a Dangerous Mind.
George has invited the newlyweds to his wedding, which is reportedly going to take place on September 20 at Lake Como, where George owns a luxurious villa.
Other guests apparently invited to the intimate ceremony in Venice include Matt Damon and Vogue editor Anna Wintour.
The wedding is rumoured to be featured in Vogue magazine’s October edition.
Human rights barrister Amal is expected to wear a custom-made gown created by designer Oscar de la Renta.
George will reportedly wear Giorgio Armani after flying a team of the fashion house’s designers to his Italian estate for fittings for himself and the other male members of the wedding party.
The pair will also celebrate with a number of events before and after the glamorous event.
