Britney bodyguard in airport clash
Britney Spears returned to Los Angeles and immediately saw a member of her entourage get involved in an altercation with a photographer.
Between 30 and 35 photographers swarmed round her vehicle outside the terminal of Los Angeles International Airport before a bodyguard pushed a camera into a photographer's face, Airport Police Sergeant Jim Holcomb said.
Sgt Holcomb said the photographer complained that the shove left a slight mark on the cheek, but cooler heads prevailed and no charges were filed.
The 26-year-old pop star was unscathed, and Sgt Holcomb said officers ensured she was able to leave the airport safely.
Spears has been the subject of intense paparazzi attention during her much-documented personal problems in recent months.
One Californian politician has even proposed a law change to protect celebrities from overzealous photographers.
