Ed Sheeran is on the hunt for a rock star pad in LA
Lego House singer Ed Sheeran is bidding to buy a stunning beachfront mansion in California so he will no longer have to stay with celebrity friends.
The tousle-haired singer, 23, whose other hits include You Need Me, I Don’t Need You, is worth an estimated £9.3million. He owns a Suffolk farm and a place in Tennessee that he bought last year for £2million, next door to country star Taylor Swift.
It’s perfect. He can’t wait to seal the deal and move in
The ocean-side house in Malibu, for sale at just over £2.2million, has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, state-of-the-art kitchen, wine cellar and a living room with breath-taking Pacific views.
Sheeran’s second album x was released last month to critical acclaim, selling 182,000 in its first week, the fastest-selling of the year so far. He said he feels “like a homeless hobo”, however, when visiting America’s west coast.
Sheeran, who regularly stays at the homes of stars Jamie Foxx and Courteney Cox in Los Angeles, said: “I’ve been looking for a new home to call my own.” An estate agent involved in the sale told the Sunday Express: “It is one of the most spectacular properties on the LA market.”
A source close to the singer said: “It’s perfect. He can’t wait to seal the deal and move in.”
