VIDEO: Come on England! Mary Berry shows off her goal face in hilarious new BBC promo
MARY Berry is usually associated with all things sugar and spice, but little did we know that the 79-year-old presenter is a big football fan.
In a hilarious new promotional video for the new series of BBC One's The Great British Bake off, which is set to return to screen later this summer, the food critic is seen showing her excitement for England's World Cup campaign.
The visuals sees the TV star sat around the table with presenters Mel and Sue and celebrity baker Paul Hollywood watching an England match, which unfortunately doesn't mimic last night's 2-1 defeat to Italy.
The cookery writer and broadcaster can be heard shouting 'Come On England' before exploding with joy when England score goal.
In scenes that will leave you in fits of laughter, Mary is seen fleeing off into the outside grounds of The Great British Bake Off headquarters.
The respected kitchen personality shows off her flexibility by performing a number of cartwheels, to the amazement of her co-stars who joke 'she's been on the Battenberg again'.
Paying homage to Peter Crouch's famous 'robot celebration', the 40-second video ends with Mary doing the street dance style.
Talking about her fitness to The Telegraph, Mary recently admitted she tries to be "disciplined" when it comes to food choices, despite her love for cake.
"I have been large in my time. I know that if I were really quite big people would look at me and say, well, that's what happens if you eat cake. So I'm fairly disciplined, and it is very difficult," Mary said.
She continued: "I make myself have one piece of toast at breakfast – I would like three. When I'm doing Bake Off I always have soup every day for my lunch because I have plenty of food around that."
Every evening we all have supper together and I nearly always have two first courses," she explained.
She continued: "I have a lot of salads and things. It's a matter of grasping the nettle and keeping it under control and I know that it's difficult."
